Alvin Golf & Country Club provided the seed money to start the Texas Wildcats, donated $100 toward the practice field, provides equipment to maintain the practice fields, helped sponsor the initial use of batting cages for the team, donated $470 in cash: a total of $2990 in services and cash.

Alvin Golf & Country Club has been a Brazoria County landmark since 1946. It is a beautifully kept course that welcomes both scratch golfers and beginners; singles and families.     Texas Cages co-sponsored our cage time with Farrell Documentation, allowing the Wildcats to practice every week in the cages with the mounds and the machines for the first couple of Wildcats years.

    Texas Cages is a full-service indoor batting cage and training facility located in Alvin, Texas near Pearland. They feature several indoor cages and an outdoor practice field.

    Texas Cages uses all real leather baseballs and softballs in the cages to simulate game situations and protect your investments in your bats. They have several pitching machines including the following:

    Pat is the manager, and Karen is the director of the Texas Wildcats. They both own Alvin Golf & Country Club, another major sponsor, and Karen owns Farrell Documentation, another major contributor.

    Put together, with all their businesses, the Farrells have donated approximately $7450 in services and cash in just over a year!
